Skyline Hotel New York
The Skyline Hotel New York is not only one of the few dog-friendly hotels in Midtown Manhattan, it’s also just few a paw prints away from the Dewitt Clinton Park Dog Run.
Located in the center of the famed Clinton/Hell’s Kitchen neighborhood, the hotel is just a few blocks away from the theater district, Times Square, Jacob Javitts Convention Center and the Intrepid Museum.
The Skyline features 232 newly renovated guest rooms that range from 370 to 500 square feet. It also offers plenty of ammenities for pet parents such as flat-screen televisions, refrigerators and in-room safes, to mention a few. Plus, if you make a reservation in February, you’ll receive free parking.
Guest pooches can enjoy a dog-friendly staff as well as dog walking, pet sitting and spa services, which are available through the concierge.
“Everybody here is pet-friendly and everybody here has a dog. They’re part of our family,” Revenue Manager Dana Doshim told i Love Dog-Friendly. ”Our boss has two dogs, Aspen and Cali, that he brings once in a while, and they sit up on the counter at the front desk with our agent.”
According to Doshim, the hotel is working on offering even more pet-friendly amenities to their guests, such as doggie ID tags, doggie CPR classes, pet gift bags, a pet food discount and delivery.
Doshim’s best advice to all guests: “I always ask that the guests let me know ahead of time, so that we can flag your reservation and put signs up where the dogs are going to be. We call it the VIP – very important pet – list, so that if there is a pet around we can keep an eye on them.”
