Hampton Inn & Suites Pigeon Forge – On the Parkway
Conveniently located close to more than 40 attractions including Dollywood, the Hampton Inn & Suites Pigeon Forge – On the Parkway warmly welcomes guests and their pets.
The Hampton Inn & Suites Pigeon Forge is extremely pet friendly. Sherry Sorge, the general manager, told i Love Dog-Friendly that one of the hotel’s more memorable guests was a small monkey that escaped from its room and started swinging from the chandeliers.
As for canine guests, all breeds are welcomed. There is an 80-pound weight limit, and two dogs are allowed per guest room. A fee of $20 is charged per room, per night.
Dogs are greeted at the front desk with a yummy treat. All of the pet-friendly rooms are located on the hotel’s first two floors to accommodate other guests with allergies, Sorge said.
“People are so pleased with how nice and clean our rooms are,” she said. “The pet-friendly rooms are no different than the other rooms.”
There are two outdoor walking areas for dogs – and “mutt mitts” are provided for cleaning up after your pooch.
The Hampton Inn & Suites Pigeon Forge has many amenities for its guests, including free breakfasts, an on-site convenience store, coin laundry, fitness room and pool. For business travelers, the hotel has meeting rooms and a business center.
In each of the hotel’s 100 rooms you’ll find free, high-speed internet access and a handy lap desk. You’ll have no problem drifting off to sleep on the comfy “Clean and Fresh Hampton Bed.” Suites with kitchens and whirlpool bathtubs are also available.
Sorge has plenty of praise for guests who bring their pets. “People who travel with their pets usually have dogs that are very well behaved and trained – they treat them as they would their children,” she said. “We’re very fortunate to have such great guests.”
In fact, she said the hotel’s pet guests are so quiet, they’re often only noticed at check-in.
One of the not-so-quiet four-legged guests was a Cocker Spaniel who was left alone in a room for hours. His barking was annoying other guests, so an employee liberated him from the room and brought him behind the front desk, where hotel staff dog-sat him until his pet parents returned. “He was really enjoying himself. He didn’t want to leave,” Sorge said.
If you want to visit Dollywood or the other many other Pigeon Forge attractions, Sorge said a brand-new doggie day care facility has opened nearby where you can safely leave your pooch for the day.
