Moose the Maltipoo Wins ‘Most-Traveled Four-Legged Jetsetter’ Contest
An 11-pound Maltipoo named Moose has won Jet Blue’s Most-Traveled Four-legged Jetsetter Contest.
The 1-year-old Maltipoo has made 24 flights between Boston and Buffalo, N.Y., with his pet mom, Jamie Griebner, a native of East Amherst, N.Y.
According to buffalonews.com, “Griebner and Moose have won a cross-country JetBlue Getaways vacation package from Boston to Los Angeles, where they will stay at the dog-friendly Hotel Palomar in Hollywood.”
Moose has been flying with his pet mom since he was just 2 months old.
“Our first trip home together was very exciting,” Griebner told buffalonews.com. “[Moose] was a little nervous on the first flight, but as soon as we got off the plane he was greeted by a welcoming party of five of my family members!”
After that, Moose quickly racked up an estimated 10,000 miles with Jet Blue and has gained several new fans.
Griebner told peoplepets.com, “I was sitting down in one of the JetBlue terminals just having a bite to eat. I was sitting at the bar, and the bartender saw that I was sitting with Moose, and he brought him over some oyster crackers.
“They love him, when I take him out of the bag at security, they all ask to pet him.”
JetBlue’s JetPaws program is sponsoring a contest for another pet parent to travel with a guest and their pooch to enjoy a relaxing trip, just like Moose and his pet mom, for National Pet Month this month.
Griebner and Moose are excited about their upcoming trip, as well as looking forward to being the guests of honor for the hotel’s special Yappy Hour.
“He’s very good on the trips to Buffalo, but an hour is a lot different than a cross-country flight. We’ll have to pack him some Sudoku puzzles and a People magazine to keep him busy!”
