Summer Muttmixer in Seattle Features a Canine Cruise
Seattle-area pet parents are invited to bring their pups along to enjoy a scenic champagne cruise along the city’s waterfront during CityDog Magazine’s annual Summer Muttmixer, “Dog Day on Elliott Bay,” on Sunday, July 24.
Guests will sail aboard Argosy Cruises’ Lady Mary to Blake Island, a 475-acre state park located just a boat ride away from downtown Seattle. This is the first and only time dogs will be allowed on board an Argosy Cruises boat.
With miles of uninhabited beaches and scenic trails to stretch the legs, two- and four-legged alike, this romp around Blake island is the perfect opportunity to enjoy a day with your pup.
After your day on Blake Island with your furry matey, you will be treated to a salmon bake at Tillicum Village. And, not to be left out, your pooch will be treated to a barkin’ good box lunch of turkey loaf, veggies and treats.
The boat will depart at 11:00 a.m. from Pier 55 at the Seattle Waterfront and arrive on Blake Island at noon for an afternoon of frolicking with your four-legged friend. The ship will whisk you and your pooch back to Seattle at 4:45 p.m. for a 5:45 p.m. arrival.
The price is $79 for adults and $30 for kids, plus tax. There is no charge for canine cruisers!
Dogs of all sizes and breeds are welcome, as long as they have current vaccinations and are wearing I.D. tags. For more information, visit Dog Day on Elliot Bay’s website.
