‘Drool in the Pool’ Dog Swim Event in Indiana
If you live in the Bloomington, Ind., area and your pooch loves to swim and socialize, don’t miss the seventh annual “Drool in the Pool” on August 24 and 25.
During this two-night event, well-behaved dogs will be welcomed into the public Mills Pool for lots of fun activities including dog paddling, a splash contest and giveaways from local pet businesses.
“Dog guards” will be on duty to keep an eye on the pool pooches, and the deep end will be closed off as a safety precaution.
Sorry, but you’ll have to leave your swimsuit at home — humans will not be allowed in the pool during the event.
The organizers recommend that your dog gets plenty of exercise prior to the event to ensure he takes care of his business beforehand. (After all, it’s called Drool in the Pool, not Poop in the Pool.)
