Walk Your Dog Across the Brooklyn Bridge to Help Charities
Calling all pups in the Big Apple! A new dog-friendly event is “woofing” your way on Saturday, August 13.
During the Wags for Wellness Walk, pooches and their pet parents will walk across the Brooklyn Bridge to raise funds for two New York City-based non-profits: the Animal Medical Center, one of the nation’s leading researchers on animal wellness, and Animal Haven, which finds homes for abandoned cats and dogs throughout the Tri-State area.
An “after-pawty” featuring dog treats, refreshments, raffle prizes and a special presentation by Andrea Arden of Animal Planet’s “Underdog to Wonderdog” will be held in Hillside Dog Park from 11:30 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Where: The walk will start at the Salty Paw in the South Street Seaport, 38 Peck Slip, New York, NY 10038. The “After Pawty” will take place at Hillside Dog Park, at the corner of Columbia Heights and Vine in Brooklyn Heights.
