3 Dog Friendly Las Vegas Hotels
If you want to hit Sin City with your pooch, you’re in luck: More and more hotels along the famous Las Vegas Strip are opening their doors to four-legged guests.
Be aware that due to health code restrictions, dogs are not allowed in casinos or any areas where food and drink is served. They are also usually barred from spas and pool areas.
Although county commissioners are currently debating whether to ban animals from the Strip, no worries: According to the Las Vegas Review Journal, any restrictions would not include pets staying in dog friendly Las Vegas hotels.
Before you and your pooch leave home, be sure to read our hotel etiquette tips to ensure these dog-friendly policies remain in place after you check out.
Trump International Hotel – 2000 Fashion Show Drive (map), 702-982-0000
The hotel staff will never bark, “You’re fired!” when you arrive here with your under-25-pound pooch in tow. For $200 per stay – which is like chump change for high rollers – the “Trump Pets” program offers amenities such as a plush dog bed, premium biscuits and spring water, flushable poop bags, a map of the city highlighting dog-friendly parks, and dog-walking services arranged through the hotel’s concierges. Shorty Rossi, of Animal Planet’s “The Pit Boss,” told i Love Dogs the Trump International is his go-to hotel whenever he visits Vegas with Hercules, his service-dog sidekick.
Four Seasons Hotel – 3960 Las Vegas Blvd. (map), 702-632-5000
Ranked as the No. 1 hotel in Vegas on tripadvisor.com, the Four Seasons allows dogs under 25 pounds. There are no fees, but if your pooch leaves a mess in your room (hopefully not à la “The Hangover”), you’ll be charged for any damages. Dogs must be trained and kept on a leash in public areas. Pets cannot be left unattended in rooms, but if you want to hit the casino, the concierge will be happy to help you find a pet sitter or boarding service.
THEHotel at Mandalay Bay – 3950 Las Vegas Blvd. South (map), 702-632-7777
This Four-Diamond AAA resort now offers a selection of dog-friendly rooms in which up to two dogs that together weigh less than 100 pounds are allowed. The fee is $50 per day, per dog. There is an outdoor area exclusively for pooches, complete with waste disposal dispensers for your convenience.
