Escape to a wilderness getaway in South Lake Tahoe at the Big Pines Mountain House. Pet parents and their pooches can unwind beside the crystal clear waters of Lake Tahoe or hit the slopes on their snowmobiles. You can even fulfill a childhood dream to go “dashing through the snow” on a homemade sleigh pulled by a 2,000-pound blonde Belgian Draft horse.

 Pet Policy: There is a $15 fee per night. All dogs must be reported at check-in; Failure to report a dog at check-in otherwise a $25 fee will be charged.  There is a two-dog maximum per room and dogs cannot be left unattended at any time. Dogs must be leashed when outside of the premises. Pet parents must clean up after their dogs or be charged a $25 pet waste removal fee. Free doggie bags are available around the property as well as the front desk. Any dogs that display aggressive behavior or constant barking must be removed from the premises.
