yellow lab smilingMore and more hotels are now opening their doors to four-legged guests, not just in the U.S., but globally.

Hotels.com, a leading online provider of hotel accommodations worldwide, recently compiled a list of some of the pet-friendliest lodging on the planet, as reported by IrishTimes.com this week.

The following dog-friendly hotels are on Hotel.com’s list:

Paw Print Bullet Ireland: The luxurious, 74-room Harvey’s Point in the hills of Donegal welcomes pets with special baskets, and offers dogsitting and walking services. (Northern Ireland is becoming increasingly dog-friendly, according to a recent survey.)

Paw Print Bullet Germany: Located in Ostseebad Sellin’s Rugen neighborhood, the Travel Charme Kurhuas Sellin has a beach exclusively for the use of dog guests and their pet parents. When the sun sets, pooches can belly up to this spa hotel’s dog-friendly bar.

Paw Print Bullet Scotland: Pups staying at the 4-star Abbots Brae, situated in a woodland garden in the scenic seaside village of Dunoon, get to sleep on tartan dog beds and feast on homemade treats. There are no additional fees for bringing your pet.

Paw Print Bullet Sweden: In downtown Stockholm, the modern, 423-room First Hotel Amaranten has spas for both humans and dogs, as well as a shop selling canine couture.

Paw Print Bullet United States: The director of pet relations at the Hotel Palomar Los Angeles – Westwood is a Cocker Spaniel named Luna. The hotel, which is part of the very dog-friendly Kimpton chain, has no size or breed restrictions, and doesn’t charge extra pet fees. Another Kimpton hotel on the list is the Hotel Solamar, located in the picturesque Gaslamp Quarter of San Diego, Calif. It offers special pooch amenities including doga (dog yoga) classes.

Hotel Palomar is an amazing hotel with an awesome dog park! I actually live in Woodland Hills, so I have stayed at this location more than once. Anytime family is in town or visiting I try to always recommend this location to them. They keep everything extremely neat and clean, unlike most dog-friendly locations.
