Names Top 10 Pet Friendly U.S. Cities

dog on hotel bedBased on their number of pet friendly hotels, off-leash dog parks and walkability,, a global leader in online hotel reservations, has ranked the pet-friendliest U.S. cities.

Here’s the top 10:

1.  Albuquerque, N.M.

2.  Portland, Ore.

3.  Tucson, Ariz.

4.  Tampa, Fla.

5.  Indianapolis, Ind.

6.  Salt Lake City, Utah

7.  Austin, Texas

8.  Tulsa, Okla.

9.  Louisville, Ky.

10.  San Francisco, Calif.

“People love their pets and many can’t imagine traveling without them. But not all cities and hotels are created equal when it comes to accommodating four-legged friends,” Brett Keller,’s chief marketing officer, said in a press release. ”We’ve created this list as a guide to help travelers find the best experiences no matter who’s along for the ride.”

Last month i Love Dog Friendly launched a new reservations tool, making it easier for pet parents to plan the perfect dog friendly vacation in these cities or elsewhere. You can search for and book thousands of hotels and browse their current pet policies.
